1962年生于北京。她是一个内心十分浪漫，具有些神秘主义倾象的女人。自十五岁开始接受正规的艺术教育，就读北京工艺美术学校。
    19岁毕业后的第一份工作是在北京第二印染厂设计花布，从此与花布结缘，在日后的艺术生涯中，旷日持久的保留着这一份浓浓的“花布情结”。
    1985年考入中央工艺美术学院（现清华美院）读研究生。
    1988年毕业获硕士学位。毕业后留工艺美院任教。
    1991年辞职赴英国留学，主修时装，染织设计（Kingston Universities），先后在多家时装公司任设计师。
    1995年回国成立了自己的服装公司，及时装品牌，在商海中游历了几年后于2000年进入人大艺术学院重新执教。
    2002年再次辞去教师工作，开始自由创作，完成了一套6册的绘本画册，这套书由中国外文出版社用三种文子出版发行到多个国家。之后，旅居加拿大。在加拿大期间创作了大量油画作品，并活跃在加拿大艺术家的各种展会上，多次获得加拿大艺术家协会，温哥华艺术家协会艺术创作大奖和优秀奖。
    2012年在北京举办回国后第一个个人艺术作品展——《心裹霓裳石裹花》，展出的作品包括架上绘画，装置作品及影像作品。
    2013年后作为画廊签约艺术家每年举办一次个人作品展，并不断的参加——艺术北京博览会，香港当代艺术博览会，纽约画廊展，温哥华的多个艺术展览和个展，国内多个艺术家联展等等。

　　Wu Yang was born in 1962, in the bustling city of Beijing. As an artist, she stated that her innermost feelings are very romantic and mysterious, and she portrays these feminine aspects in her artworks.
　　Wu Yang started to receive proper art education at 15 years old, then at19, Yang obtained her first job in the Beijing Second Textile Printing Factory as a textile designer. As Yang continued her career of art, she
　　preserves this unforgettable experience of her first job as textile designer, and draws many inspirations from this point in her life.
　　In 1985, she was admitted in to the Central Academy of Fine Arts and Design (Newly named as QingHua University) where she graduated with the Master Degree. Three years later, Yang journeys to Britain to study abroad, where she majors in the fashion and textile design, and is employed as a designer in many British fashion companies.
　　In 2002, Wu Yang has returned to Beijing and obtained a position as an art professor in the National People's Congress Academy, though she also resigns from the job. Soon, to start a family and settle down, she married and had 2 daughters. She continued her art career whilst caring for her daughters, and in 3 years time, she produced a set of ink and color picture books and dedicated them as gift to her 2 newly born girls.
　　Afterwards, Yang and her family immigrated to Canada where she took up oil painting. She dedicated her time to painting, and soon produced numerous artworks and displayed them at many different art exhibits. They also participated in many art competitions, winning numerous awards in "Federation of Canadian Artists" and "Chinese Canadian Artist Federation in Vancouver".
　　Using practical techniques to create magnificent masterpieces, her paintings and pen works brought her iconic designs into the world of art. With gentle, brilliant strokes, her masterpieces seem to stretch into another world.
